Welcome to Drama Queens! It all started when my sister sat me down on the couch in November 2018 and forced me to watch some South Korean show called Boys Over Flowers. That’s all it took for a slightly obsessive person like me, so here we are, 150+ dramas later.

This is a place where we dive deeper into how dramas work and why we as viewers love them so much. I’ve always been a fan of observing what happens behind the scenes, whether it’s storyboarding, visual effects, scriptwriting, or any of the myriad of things that make up a production.

When I like something, I do my best to research and get a holistic take on what I’m consuming. As an average American girl finding comfort and quality in Korean productions, I will do my best to remain respectful of a culture that isn’t my own.

I chose to make the name plural so I could include my family and friends if they wished to contribute. As the main admin, you’ll see my posts as embersnewgroove. The more Queens, the merrier!
